Wildlife conservation takes on a different meaning in South Africa. The approximately 9000 private wildlife reserves are well managed to protect the animals and habitat. Conserving wildlife includes empowering local communities sharing the land with wildlife and understanding ancient traditions such as the sustainable use of natural resources.
